Bridging that disconnect between how much I like something versus how much I’m willing to pay is pretty easy when Black Friday deals go into effect. “Purchase a duffel and get a free backpack!” And for this price I went ahead and threw in a matching toiletries bag. This was at a time where I had a lot of work travel, and can’t say this was the main reason, but it definitely felt like having nice luggage was helpful in those free last minute upgrades to first class.
